about

The idea of an Arts Festival in Kingston began with the Arts Committee of the Kingston Public Library, whose general mission is to promote exhibits of local artists in the library's gallery. The Festival is intended as an intergenerational, educational and family-fun celebration of Kingston and the South Shore region's creative community in all of its aspects, including exhibits of fine art and cultural heritage, music, crafts and performing arts. Held in the Old Town Center where Kingston was first established, KAF seeks to honor the traditions and contributions of the past as we look to the future.

The Festival is endorsed by the Kingston Board of Selectmen and the Kingston Public Library Trustees. The Festival is supported in part by grants from Target and the Cultural Councils of Kingston, Plympton and Halifax—local agencies supported by the Massachusetts Cultural Council, a state agency. The Festival is also funded by contributions from local patrons of the arts and advertising in our program from local businesses. Please let these businesses know that you appreciate their support for arts in our community.
