How to participate...
1. Enter your work in a juried competition.*
Submissions and registration take place on Monday, August 30 from 5-8pm at the Kingston Public Library meeting room. Entry fee is $8 per piece and is nonrefundable. A maximum of 3 pieces may be entered per artist. Entries must be framed, matted, canvas stretched on frame, or mounted on foamcore, posterboard or oaktag, wired and ready to hang. Sawtooth hangers and clip frames will not be accepted. Entries may not exceed 36 inches on any side, including frame. Work selected for exhibit in previous Kingston Arts Festivals will not be accepted.Prizes will be awarded in the following categories:
Painting (oil + acrylic)
Painting (watercolor + pastels)
Photography + Digital Imaging (color, b+w)
All Other Media (drawing, printmaking, collage, mixed media and other graphics)
Artwork will be displayed in the Kingston Public Library through the month of September and will be listed as a showcase venue on Festival day, September 18.

2. Rent vendor space at the Festival Market.
Show or sell your work with no commission. Vendor form will be available online soon.3. Apply to be an Artist-in-Action.
At various stations around the Festival, artists will demonstrate their skill and may show or sell their work without commission. Minimum time commitment: 2.5 hours. Contact the Festival committee if you are interested.Attention artists ages 12-18...
Young Artists' submissions will be accepted on Tuesday, August 3 from 6-8pm at the Kingston Public Library meeting room. No entry fee required. Artists may submit up to 3 pieces, which must be prepared for hanging on poster, foamcore or oaktag, or framed with wire hanger (no sawtooth hangers or clip frames).Prizes will be awarded in the following categories:
Painting (oil + acrylic)
Painting (watercolor + pastels)
Photography + Digital Imaging (color, b+w)
Drawing (charcoal, pencil, or ink)
All Other Media (printmaking, collage, mixed media and other graphics)
First, second, honorable mention and Best in Show ribbons will be awarded with cash prizes.
Young Artists' Exhibit will be displayed at the Kingston Public Library through the end of August and at a "spotlight" venue on Festival day, September 18.
